“Train children in the way they should go; when they grow old, they won’t depart from it.”
Proverbs 22:6
C.A.S.A. is an extension of ministry at Asbury United Methodist Church. Nearly 200 children—each with individual personalities—is loved and cared for by an experienced staff who puts God and His children first.
We believe in love, laughter, and learning at C.A.S.A. by nurturing self-confidence through creative activities and exploration of the world around us. All children are special in God's eyes and our goal is to help each child obtain his or her full potential.

Staff Qualifications
C.A.S.A. strives to hire teachers who are happy, warm, accepting, informed about how children learn and develop, and knowledgeable about how to establish a good emotional climate in the classroom. Our teachers are committed to the school philosophy, have a high regard for other staff members, and see each person as contributing to the ongoing development of children.
In order to provide a safe, fulfilling environment for children attending our program, all staff are screened through the state central registry on child abuse/neglect and undergo a mandatory criminal history check. This policy meets the requirements of Department of Human Resources (DHR) as well as the United Methodist Church’s Safe Sanctuaries Plan.
Continuing education opportunities are also an essential part of building an effective, qualified staff and we provide the following training seminars to all teachers: First Aid & CPR; Positive Discipline; Children with Special Needs; Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse; Child Development; Health & Safety; Quality Child Care; and Exploring Math and Science with Preschoolers.
